1. Overview
Resell Ledger is an Android app built to help resellers track the profit, costs, and fees associated with items they buy and sell. Six Tricks ("we", "us", "our") is the developer and data controller for this application.
This policy explains what data is collected when you use Resell Ledger, how it is used, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Enter
All information you enter into Resell Ledger — including item titles, purchase costs, sale prices, platform names, fees, dates, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device using Android Room (a local database) and Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use one of the export or backup features described below.
We do not collect, access, transmit, or store any of this information on our own servers. We have no servers.
2.2 Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers
- Account credentials (there are no accounts)
- Location data
- Contact lists or other device content
- Financial account details
3. Third-Party Services
Resell Ledger uses third-party services provided by Google. Each service operates under Google's own privacy policy, available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
3.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)
Resell Ledger displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)
- Device type, OS version, and language settings
- Approximate location (derived from IP address)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
- App usage signals
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy. Six Tricks does not receive or store any of this data.
Opting out of personalised ads:
You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of interest-based advertising at any time via your device settings:

3.2 Google Play Billing
Purchases made within the app (such as the HMRC Pack unlock) are processed entirely by Google Play. Six Tricks does not receive or store your payment details. Your purchase history is managed by Google and subject to their terms and privacy policy.
3.3 Google Cloud Backup (Optional)
If Android's automatic backup feature is enabled on your device, your app data may be backed up to your personal Google Drive storage via Google's Android Backup Service. This backup:
- Is associated with your Google account, not with Six Tricks
- Is encrypted and controlled by Google
- Can be disabled at any time via Settings → System → Backup
Six Tricks has no access to any backed-up data and does not operate any cloud storage infrastructure of its own.
4. Data Sharing
Six Tricks does not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party, other than the Google services described in Section 3, which operate independently of us.
We will disclose data if required to do so by law or legal process, but as we hold no user data ourselves, any such request would need to be directed to the relevant third-party provider (e.g. Google).
5. Data Retention and Deletion
All data you enter into Resell Ledger is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete it within the app or uninstall the application. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. We have no ability to delete data on your behalf because we do not hold it.
6. Children's Privacy
Resell Ledger is a financial tracking tool intended for use by resellers. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
As Six Tricks holds no personal data about you (all data is on your own device), most of these rights are exercised directly through the app itself or your device settings.

8. Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device, security is primarily governed by your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend enabling device encryption and keeping your device OS up to date.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app and on our website at https://www.sixtricks.dev/contact. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
