Privacy Policy
Six Tricks ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Timelapse Studio mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a transparent understanding of how your data is handled.
1. Information Collection and Use
Timelapse Studio does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number. All creative content — including captured images and rendered videos — is stored locally on your device.
2. Telemetry and Analytics (Firebase)
To improve the App's performance and stability, we use Google Firebase. These services collect anonymized data to help us understand how the App is performing across different hardware configurations. This data may include:
- Device Identifiers: Device model, OS version, and hardware specifications (e.g., camera sensor details).
- Performance Metrics: Crash reports, ANR (App Not Responding) logs, and rendering durations.
- Usage Statistics: Anonymous information on which features are most used to help us prioritize future development.
3. Advertising (AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements within the App. AdMob may use cookies or unique mobile device identifiers to show ads that are relevant to you.
- AdMob may collect and use data according to its own privacy policy.
- You can manage your ad preferences or opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Android Settings: Settings → Google → Ads.
4. Permissions and Hardware Access
The App requires specific permissions to function as a professional time-lapse tool:
- Camera: Required to access hardware sensors for image capture and manual control (ISO, Focus, Shutter Speed).
- Storage: Required to save image sequences and rendered MP4 files to your device's media folders. We do not access any files on your device other than those created by Timelapse Studio.
- Foreground Service: Required to ensure that video rendering processes can complete efficiently in the background without being interrupted by the system.
5. Future Data Storage and Cloud Services
Currently, all data remains on your physical device. In the future, we may introduce cloud synchronization features. These features will be strictly opt-in and will utilize Google-managed services (such as Google Drive or Firebase Cloud Storage). Your data will be tied to your own Google Account and will not be stored on proprietary Six Tricks servers.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Play Services
- AdMob
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics
These providers have their own privacy policies regarding how they handle the data they collect.
7. Children's Privacy
Timelapse Studio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website (sixtricks.dev) and within the App's settings or documentation.
